The purpose of DA74 is to adjust the current land use boundaries within Section 5 Campbell. The proposed adjustment of land use boundaries will not result in an increase in the development area or a decrease in open space.

DA74 also proposes a clarification and strengthening of parking requirements to reinforce the objective that Constitution Avenue become and urban boulevard with frequent public transport services. The NCA will retain the discretion to require higher rates of parking where it cannot be adequately demonstrated that parking will not significantly adversely impact on the surrounding neighbourhood.

Detailed conditions of planning, design and development are also proposed, which will apply to all development proposals on Section 5 Campbell and will be in addition to the existing controls contained within Appendix T8 of the Plan.

A public information session will be held on Tuesday 6 March 2012, 6pm for 6.15pm at Campbell Primary School Hall, Chauvel Street, Campbell. The session will be run in conjunction with the public information session for the Anzac Parade and Constitution Avenue Intersection Works - Stage 2.
