Rond Terraces 'wonder wall' awarded
The Rond Terraces Wall, between Anzac Parade and the Rond Terraces car park, was awarded a Master Builders Association Excellence in Building Award.
The accolade was given for the best civil works project under $1 million.

The new wall is 200 metre long and is one metre lower than the previous barrier opening up the view across Lake Burley Griffin. [More]

National Library and Questacon Precinct

The new Humanities and Science Campus Square between the National Library of Australia and Questacon will be completed by the end of June 2009.

 

RG Menzies Walk Reconstruction

The RG Menzies Walk reconstruction is the first project under the Canberra Central Parklands Master Plan. A 4.5 metre wide promenade will be constructed on the northern shores of Lake Burley Griffin.

 

New Kings Avenue - Parkes Way Intersection

Federal Parliament has approved the construction works for the bridging of Kings Avenue over Parkes Way at the existing Russell Roundabout. The Russell Roundabout has operated at capacity for some time and it is one of Canberra's worst traffic accident blackspots. Traffic efficiency and safety will be improved between the City, Parliamentary precinct and airport.

National World War I and World War II Memorials
