The National Capital Authority has approved and released a new consultation protocol as part of a document called 'Commitment to Community Engagement'.

Australian Geological Heritage Gardens

On 7 July 2010 the NCA launched the Australian Geological Heritage Gardens at the the Lindsay Pryor Arboretum. The gardens will display the richness and diversity of Australian geology with substantial iconic rock specimens from each state and territory.

Anzac Parade Intersection Works

The National Capital Authority (NCA) has identified that works are required at the intersection of Anzac Parade and Constitution Avenue. The NCA is also planning works at the intersection of Anzac Parade, Blamey Crescent and Currong Street. Any comments on the planned works should be received by COB Friday 13 August 2010.

A public information session will be held at the Robertson Room, St John's Anglican Church, Reid on Thursday 22 July between 4pm and 7pm.

Kings Avenue Overpass

Traffic Update: On Saturday 12 June 2010 an extended "U" turn traffic movement will become operational  on the airport side of the intersection. This new traffic arrangement will also include temporary traffic signals. Motorists should note that traffic delays are to be expected. Motorists are encouraged to use alternative traffic routes and allow for additional travel time to the airport. By-pass lanes around the bridge site also form part of the temporay traffic arrangement. Normal traffic rules continue to apply.
